Jaco Costa Rica is a changing landscape. What before was a quaint beach town in Costa Rica's central Pacific coast, is now a busy little city loaded with real estate investors building condo projects. For Jaco, this is both good and bad. Costa Rica is seriously lacking a major oceanfront city, and the growing vacation condo rentals market is bringing a steady flow of cash in to this one quiet fishing village.
Jaco is slowly becoming too expensive for most locals to afford property. This is something that has Costa Ricans that are long time residents of Jaco mad. Soon many of these people will be enticed in to selling their land to developers and moving to one of Costa Rica's more tranquil areas. Jaco is changing, as is Costa Rica, but is all of this condo real estate changing things for the better?
